- From Upper Spider X-Roads, go
- SE, E, SE, hole,
- W, move pile, hole, W, dig west, W,
- N, N, N, NW, NW, N, NE,
- roll rock [need 2 people], hole, grab book,
- Open the chest (need knock or lockpicks) to get Emerald Ring, Gutbuster potion on the floor
- Go to Lower Spider Tunnels, all west near orcs/entrance to mongrels, and give the diary to Gont'hur
