Rangers are very intelligent nuisancing things.  They often carry
around a tiger to sniff us out.  They can move silently in the 
forest and can track people.  One must be very careful when dealing
with a ranger, but here is how you can come out on top.

* First off, always suspect a ranger to have a tiger with him.  
  Therefore, in order for you to move silently without being 
  seen, don't hide.  Sneaking around visible until you find 
  your target(a ranger) will do just as nicely.  If you plan 
  on stealing from him, do so unhidden.  If you plan on 
  backstabbing him or the tiger, hide quickly and stab as 
  fast as you can.

* Secondly, never trust a ranger in the wild.  Cities are 
  much better places to tackle them.  The loud noises and
  the continuous flow of people tend to frighten the animals
  away.  This helps even the odds in a fight.
        
* Third, always have at least two others helping you kill him. 
  This accounts for a lot if you plan on winning.
