Story 31 Dispelling the Darkness Told By Taniwha ~ Most of a Drow wandered in here the other day, I say "most of" because large ~ ~ bits of him were missing. Left ear, left arm from the elbow down and he had ~ ~ a bad limp. He wasn't paying much attention to the barmaids either, but then ~ ~~~~~~~~~ being a Mage there could have been other reasons for that. ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Even the orcs felt sort of sorry for this guy, he looked like he'd been part ~ ~ disintegrated. After a few drinks, everyone mellowed out figuring he was no ~ ~ real threat. An elf mage started to get a bit niggly later though, put up ~ ~~ mirrors and starting making nasty jokes. The Drow just smiled, you know, ~~ ~ that nasty smile they seem to learn as kids and the elfs mirrors just went. ~ ~ I mean like, not there. You could see every spell caster in the place sit up ~ ~ and cast a quick detect magic. That poor elf was totally stripped of magic. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Helluva trick. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ That beat up Drow got a lot more respect after that. All he'd ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ say about it was that killing elves was a LOT easier than whacking ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ beholders. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And he smirked some... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ______________________________________________________________________________ Mission Control Mission Control
