Story 42                          Unreliable                   Told By Taniwha

~ A dust-covered, skinny dwarf came staggering into the bar a few days back. ~
~~~~~~ It was really wierd, the first "skinny" dwarf I've ever seen ... ~~~~~~
~~~~ Anyway, he was seriously worried about something, but after I poured ~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ a few beers down his throat he told me the problem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~ It seems he was a cleric of Raisa, and had been on a special mission ~~~~
~~~ for Taniwha. He was supposed to be bringing something back to town, but ~~
~~~ he had lost it. Not only was he going to be in trouble when Raisa found ~~
~~ out he was doing favors for other Demi-gods, but Taniwha was going to be ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ really annoyed when he found out that it was lost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~ "He told me not to stop anywhere", sobbed the poor little chap, "but ~~~~
~~~~~~~~~ the place looked so comfortable, and I was sooo tired ..." ~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~ A few drinks later and he muttered something about going back to ~~~~~~
~~~~ the mountains to look for it before he annoyed any more Gods, and off ~~~
