Walkthrough

• Start by having all your party members do Quest 270 - Pill of the Brave Hero,
  • generally speaking this means going into Lycan Citadel inside Domain of MidFr, then climb down from the bridge, and go slay the Slave Core Hound to get the Pill of the brave hero. Eat the pill.
  • For more details on doing that quest, see Quest 270 - Pill of the Brave Hero
• After every member of the party has gotten "Done" on quest 270, you now need to find the Dark Portal somewhere in the MidFr Tunnels. It has several known locations listed down below. Note that you can only enter the Dark Portal if you have eaten the Pill of the brave hero
• When you have located the dark portal, you can enter it. Note that you will arrive in a room without exits, here you must "dig north" to get a hidden north exit. Staying in this room will drain your gps quite fast!

• You have now entered Molten Core. You can see the map below for the layout
• The general gist of the raid now, is to fight your way to Lava Annihilator and kill him, then proceed to fight your way to Magmadar and kill him and so on until you have eventually killed Ragnaros.
  • Note that the next boss, does not spawn until you have killed the previous boss!
  • All the bosses are in the "dead ends" you can see on the map. The rooms will be named with the boss name even if the boss has not spawned.
  • Ragnaros is at the inner end of the spiral
  • Note that most of the bosses are stunnable, and it is highly recommended to keep the stunned.

  • Magmadar is known to have mind control, where he takes control over a random player. It is not clear how long this effect lasts or if it is possible to defeat it.

    This Mind Control leaves you with limited control over the character. However you can still unhold or revert symbol etc. You cannot move however. Note that during the mind control, Magmadar dissappears. And you will likely just be fighting yourself. After a certain amount of time (or when the spell gets dispelled?), the mind control stops, and Magmadar reappears. I handled him as follows: Prep all chars with a couple of scrolls in their inventory When he uses mind control, then have all chars unhold all, and hold scrolls Try to stop fights, and use the Calm spell if possible I then used "Dispel Magic" (from beholder) on the mind controlled entity (not sure if this is what caused it to loosen the mind control though) Then i killed Magmadar when he reappeared, then i spent the next 5-10 minutes stopping fights

    
    

  • See below for full list of bosses
• For the final boss fight, there will be two npcs in the room, Ragnaros and Executus Majordomo. These protect eachother. Ragnaros will in addition spawn multiple "Son of Ragnaros" during the fight. I recommend using a target list that prioritizes Ragnaros.
  • Ragnaros will also attempt to cast cure critical wounds. I assume he tries to cast on himself, but he cured my tank twice instead
• There will be several Molten Core specific items dropping through the raid, there is a chance they drop from every boss, but there will be most when you kill Ragnaros
• The actual quality and usability of the sets is currently questionable as a full set hasnt been tested yet. By themselves, the pieces are quite mediocre.
• After you have killed Ragnaros, all the npc's in the Molten Core area disappears.
