Story 197                        Enemy of Fire                   Told By Titan

~~~~ The ancient enemy of the children of fire has begun to re-establish  ~~~~
~~~~~~ a stronghold.  The Highpriestess of Fire is starting to feel the ~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~ heat as several attempts at thwarting this enemy have failed. ~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~ She is looking for assistance in resolving this matter. ~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~ Note: This is a faction restrictive quest.  Those in poor standing ~~~~~
~~~~ with Deepfire will need to fix that before they can begin the quest. ~~~~

Walkthrough

• Go to M'Dorn
• Go northwards, when you get to gate of fire, make sure to fire ress yourself before passing the gate
• Go to house of Tanadir (northeast)

• Go down, then n,nw,nw,
• move tapestry

• then go nw,nw,n
  • You will be in a room with south exit only with Lord of Tanadir and High Priestess Jandralin

Lord of Tanadir protects High Priestess Jandralin.
Jandralin eyes you up and down as you enter the room.  "You look like a powerful adventurer, human! 
Perhaps you could be of some [help] to us."

  • This might possibly only work if you dont have negative faction...
• Now you can go kill the boss
• Go back south to the place where you can go east

• go e,e,e,e,e,e,dive hole
• go d,d
• go se,se,e,e,ne,ne,nw
  • (you will fall down into a room with sw exit only)

• "climb wall" many times, until you get all the way up. Do this with all chars, then go back down one (there are monsters here you must kill)

• have all chars "crawl hole"
• Now go sw,se,e,ne,nw,sw
• Prep for fight (he is east)

• Go east and kill Shuluurius, Elemental Lord of Water

     Shuluurius, Elemental Lord of Water roars in a deep whooshing voice:  BEGONE FROM MY PRESENCE!

     A rapidly swirling vortex opens up in the waters below you and swallows
     you into its icy depths!

     You are expelled!

• When the Boss is dead, he will drop a chest and a Watery Scroll
  • The Chest yields
    • Dagger of Life Water
    • Ring of Living Water
    • Cloak of Flowing Water
  • The scroll cannot be picked up, but can be learned (Animal school), it teaches lure of undine

• It seems that when the boss is dead, the other mobs will turn to "lesser" versions. These are alot easier to kill, e.g. for faction rep
• You should now go back to Jandralin to get the quest reward

Jandralin smiles.
"A denizen of the plane of water, an old enemy of Our Lady Immakala, has begun to form a stronghold
on this, Immakala's most sacred island.  Such a grave offense to the Queen of Fire cannot be 
tolerated, and this fiend must be destroyed!

Athor Tanadir has dispatched several elite groups of warriors to find and destroy this liquid
menance, but they have not yet returned to us.  I fear they have fallen prey to this foul creature's 
water magic.  Immakala grant you are more sucessful.  

Go now.  Return when you have slain the creature, and may the Radiant Empress light your path."

• Quest 388 says one can get Deluge, blade of the deep on vanguards. I have not gotten this
• Killing prisoners donw in Deepfire give faction
