It has been several weeks now since the siege of my tower was
begun and our supplies are low.  I do not know how much longer we
can hold out against those daemon hordes from the north.  Their
undead legions seem invincible.
But I fear I have even more troubles.  Several of my servants
have disappeared in the deep tower.  It worried me to sink the foun-
dation so deep but it is now too late for regrets.  Those below here
at first worshipped me as a God but now they are beginning to rebel.
Would that I had never awakened the forces that sleep below
this accursed tower.  Those pale, evil slugs with their priests
guiding them by the nose.  I actually fear their wakening intelligence
more than the armies outside the walls.  For with the soldiers death
alone waits.  With THEM below it is far worse.
The waiting legions of the damned will break through any day.
We are too few to fight them for much longer.  When they come I can
not give much hope for my survival but I can pray that I have hidden
my treasures well enough.  It would be a great evil if such were to
fall into their dead hands.

Goodbye, for I am soon dead,
