Description
    The keen eye and adept instincts of the Vanguard are no more apparent then
    when they brace for impact.  As masters of the defensive arts they have the
    ability to crouch low to the ground and use their shield to withstand
    devastating attacks while only taking minimal damage.
    
    The Vanguards ability to brace for an impact is determined by his level and
    his skill in concentration, awareness and anatomy.
