Description

This is a very sad looking ash dragon. He's sitting on a golden perch. His eyes are dim, and his wings droop. He's looking at you with something like hope in his eyes. You see a dark metal collar with a sturdy lock around his neck. It looks tight and rather uncomfortable. Perhaps you should try and 'free' him. He is in excellent condition. Wearing : a Cinder's Collar.

  You insert the key into the keyhole on Cinder's collar, and with a click, the
  collar falls to the ground.

  You startle slightly as you hear a high-pitched, raspy voice in your head.

  Cinder says: Oh, thank you! It has been pure torture staying here with that
  evil man. There are many things I wish I could tell you about this place, but
  Gershim's sorceries and my need to flee prevent me from doing so.

  Know this: He is both more and less than he appears. There is a scroll hidden
  here in the compound that will help you in your fight against him. It was
  written by a now-dead follower of Gershim named Treyvan who discovered the
  lord's true nature and was planning revolt. He was found out and executed.

  Before Treyvan was taken, however, he hid the scroll somewhere in the compound.

  I overheard Treyvan say 'The safety of the scroll is assured if those who have
  gone before have not forsaken this once-proud order.' Find the scroll, avenge
  the many wrongs done in the name of evil.
  Cinder stretches his wings and flies off to a happier place.
