One group of islands which does not fall under Sword Sea's administration is the island domain of Hoerk. It is comprised of several islands, only three of which are currently open for players.

The largest island, Belaern, is home to a large and vigorous city, Stormfront. Several guilds have halls in Stormfront, including a branch of the Fighter guild, the Taniwha priests, and the Bards. The city itself is a comfortable and orderly place. An efficient customs office, run by the beautiful lady Duskwind, monitors the flow of weapons into the city itself. Non-citizens are relieved of their weapons upon entry, they can easily retrieve them at the customs office for a small price. Those players that are members of guilds housed in the city can retain their wielded weapons, but extras are taxed upon entry.

North of the city you will find a diverse ecosystem, with both jungle and an unnatural desert. Out of the desert rises a gigantic volcano. Belaern's desert boasts several quests and unusual areas that are not for the weak of heart. Most adventurers spend time in Hoerk on Belaern.

The second large island is Havmand, and travel there should be postponed until you are much older. Its dangerous flora and fauna surround a mysterious castle. The castle and its environs hide many secrets, but be careful not to annoy the lady of the house.

The third open island is Werre, a small and some say disturbing island that consists primarily of a rocky ruined tower. Efforts to reach Werre by sea have been unsuccessful, so one must assume there's another way to get there.
