The largest island, Belaern, is home to a large and vigorous city, Stormfront.  North of the city you will find a diverse ecosystem, with both jungle and an unnatural desert.  Out of the desert rises a gigantic volcano.  Belaern's desert boasts several quests and unusual areas that are not for the weak of heart.
