From the "Keep History", found in the keep on Wardens
You carefully flip through the tome, and find some interesting passages:
The enemy was cast away into a prison forged by Helm himself. He cast away that shapeshifting race into another plane, and sundered the gateway into five different pieces. Then, he moved the gateway to another world, and set his mortal avatar, Kelmar the Warden, to be ever vigilant over the prison of these magical monstrosities. My lord Kelmar swore he would not let anyone pass into the portal, except if somehow some of the enemy should breakout, in which case he would consider letting a band of only the most powerful heroes enter the portal to destroy the Enemy where they rot in there prison....
And in the decades which the warden faithfully upheld his task, many creatures of evil sought to free the powerful Enemy, in hopes of being rewarded for their demonic aims. Perhaps the greatest of these was the legendary Drow Priestess, Almazzafan. In a mighty battle, the warden defeated these evil-doers, and imprisoned them in a magical prison deep below the castle...
Apparently this is as far as the historian got. It is signed:
History of the Keep according to Garp, the historian.
